socio-cultural orientation to be shown of how language works. Thompson

suggestions for answers to exercises, a comprehensive list of

chapter. This is especially helpful for beginners and researchers, not
to mention teachers ... [It] serves as a most worthwhile introduction
to systemic functional grammar and should be on the bookshelf of those

Great Book

Geoff Thompson does a great job of explaining functional grammar at a level a beginner like me can understand. I highly recommend this book for anybody who is interested in systemic functional linguistics.
This complaint has nothing to do at all with the book, but the publisher or Kindle (Amazon?) failed to put page numbers in the Kindle app version of this book. It is too bad because I will need them for citations.
